Involvement of a strategic investor for the development of the Stremyhorod deposit of titanium ores with the subsequent creation of a mining and processing complex

Purpose

The goal of the project is to establish a high-tech titanium production facility in Ukraine, serving strategic industries such as automotive, aviation, and defense. Centered in the Zhytomyr region — traditionally rich in mining enterprises — the project is based on an ilmenite ore deposit. The State Geological Survey has prepared geological data for preliminary investor assessment. The auction’s starting price for a special permit or production sharing agreement will reflect this data. The state covers 100% of CAPEX for initial evaluation, while all further stages are fully funded by the investor. The 50-year project includes four phases: auction or URP competition; detailed reserve assessment; pre-development procedures (including environmental review); and creation of an industrial complex for ore extraction and processing.
