Major repairs of the Skunda and Kugurluy canal dams

Overhaul of the Skunda and Kugurlui canal dams is a strategically important infrastructure facility aimed at restoring the hydrotechnical stability and ecological balance in the system of Danube lakes. The expected results of the project implementation are the complete stabilization of the hydrological regime of water bodies, minimizing damage from natural disasters, improving conditions for fish farming and irrigated agriculture, as well as preserving the unique ecosystems of the Danube region thanks to the possibility of operational management of water levels depending on the season and the ecological needs of the region.
