National Tolling System
Purpose
The project aims to introduce tolling on the main highway network to collect revenue for increased regular maintenance of roads, winter maintenance of roads, reconstruction of roads and building of new road sections. This will result in not only increased sustainability but also a better level of service, reduction of travel time and delays, increased traffic safety as well as reduced vehicle operation costs. The location of the project is a major road network of Ukraine on all the territory of Ukraine. The roads will be selected based on the traffic levels and it is forecasted that majority of roads in the tolling scheme will be the M-roads.
